The XVIII National Sociology Conference 2026 is jointly organised by the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Sociology, Karnatak University, Dharwad (accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC-2022) and the Karnataka Sociology Association (R).
The Conference
The Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Sociology, Karnatak University, Dharwad, and the Karnataka Sociology Association (R) jointly organise the XVIII National Sociology Conference.
Under the theme Spaces of Urban Marginality: Slum Settlements, Social Inclusion and Justice in India, academicians, university and college teachers, researchers, research scholars and postgraduate students meet to examine how informality, housing, migration and governance shape life at the city’s edges. Papers are invited in English and Kannada across the 15 Research Committees of the KSA.
